It was a GREAT weekend to serve in our community! On Saturday, May 16 several teams of St. Luke's folks spent the morning helping our neighbors in many capacities. Teams worked at Viewmont Elementary and Hickory High Schools cleaning and weeding. We organized food donations at Hickory Soup Kitchen and Centro Latino and helped move some larger items. And we spent time assembling hygiene kits for Western NC folks still trying to get life back to normal after Hurricane Helene. Finally, we wrote cards to our homebound members and to Senators and Congresspersons beseeching them to make compassionate decisions regarding food security.

In the afternoon our choir shared musical love at area assisted living homes.

On Sunday, May 17 we enjoyed worshiping among Creation at Kiwanis Park for outdoor worship and our churchwide potluck picnic! The weather was beautiful, the table was bountiful, and the fellowship was joyous! We also celebrated our graduating members ranging from preschool to Master's degrees!! Congrats Grads, we are so proud of you!
