There are too many people who are alienated from God’s love due to hurtful, unaccepting, unaffirming experiences in church and society. This group is taking steps forward to heal and eradicate those experiences and will focus on ways to repair the breach with those who feel they have been cast out of God’s love and His church. We are a safe space for LGBTQIA+ persons and their allies.

Seeking God Together - Buscando a Dios Juntos
Bilingual Small Group. Led by Beth Osbahr, Hispanic Minister, this group meets Tuesday evenings @ 6:00 PM in our Chapel or Youth Building or local restaurants. All are welcome for scriptural discussion, prayer, fellowship, and food. For more information call or text Beth Osbahr at 828-734-7812.
Joyous Friends
Joyous Friends is a discussion oriented class that focuses on both the Bible and everyday issues. Class members range from 50s-70s in age, but we welcome people of all ages. We enjoy fellowship, outreach, and learning how to grow in our spiritual journey. Please visit. But be careful -- fun, learning, and growing in faith can be addictive! We meet Sunday mornings at 9AM in room 133 in the FLC.
Agape Class
Meets in the Conference room of the Administration Building, Sunday mornings at 11 AM. The Agape Class is open to adults of all ages. Currently we're aged 40s to 80s. We use a variety of resources that encourage open discussion and respect for everyone's input. Our focus is on God's love and grace for all.
Core Class
Meets at 11:15 AM on Sunday mornings in the FLC, Room 106. We are a class of senior-aged members ranging in age from mid-sixties to early eighties. We have a rotating group of five teachers, focusing on Bible studies and Christian video studies. Our class was established in the 1970’s and has been very active in a variety of church organizations and committees, especially the traditional church choir. The name “CORE” stands for Christ Our Redeemer and Enlightener.
Vineyard Class
Meets in the Youth building Sundays at 11:00 am. Our class is a group of adults ranging in age from 20's to 50's. We meet in a casual and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing and discussing. Our primary focus is on studying the teachings of Jesus and exploring how they apply to our lives today. Each session is filled with meaningful conversations, personal reflections, and a sense of community that makes our time together truly special.
In 2026, our group decided to begin a bible study around the series Animate: Faith.
Journey Class
Meets at 9 AM in the Family Life Center room 107. A diverse group using the Wired Word combining scripture and current events with lively discussions and life applications, resulting in a richer faith journey for all!
Seekers Fellowship
The Seekers Fellowship Class is a discussion based class which as our name implies diligently seeks to understand the scriptures so they may be applied to our lives of faith. We do this in a bond of fellowship where each is respected on their journey of discovery as fellow travelers toward stronger discipleship. Discussion is facilitated by Rev. Bill Garrard. We are currently studying Old Testament Stories from the Back Side by Dr. J. Elsworth Kalas.
Koinonia
Meets Sundays at 9 AM in the Koinonia Room in the Family Life Center.
We use a video lesson series with discussion from one of our classmates as facilitator. We have used Max Lucado, Adam Hamilton, Susan Robb, Andy Stanley and others.
