Maundy Thursday Service of Lament and Holy Communion
Our Director of Children and Youth Ministries, Emma Shell, will lead this service remembering the Last Supper of Christ and his 12 Disciples. Join us at 6PM in our Chapel, located in the main Sanctuary building.
Easter Morning
ARISE and SHINE! CHRIST IS RISEN! Help us celebrate Christ's resurrection beginning at 7AM with our Sunrise service in our Sanctuary. Then enjoy breakfast with the St. Luke's family provided by our United Methodist Men at 7:30AM in the Youth Building. Our Modern Worship service will switch to 8:45AM for this special day in our Family Life Center. Then our Traditional and Hispanic worship services will celebrate at 10AM in the Sanctuary and Chapel respectively. We hope you can join and invite your friends and family on this highest Holy day!
Meeting Jesus on the Road to Emmaus
Easter is not over on April 5th! Join us for a combined service in the FLC on Sunday, April 12th as our message will be delivered via the dramatic presentation, "Meeting Jesus on the Road to Emmaus." Written by St. Luke's member, Keith Orsini, and acted by the St. Luke's Players, you will feel and experience the emotion of Jesus's crucifixion, resurrection, and appearance to the Emmaus travelers firsthand!
Confirmation and Youth Sunday
April 19 is a combined worship service in the Sanctuary at 10AM. Give thanks to God for our Confirmands as they are welcomed into full membership at St. Luke's and the United Methodist Church. If you or your ministry group would like to send personalized letters to our Confirmands, please email Emma Shell for a list of names.
Ongoing Mission Project
We are still accepting clean plastic grocery bags and 12-18-count styrofoam and cardboard egg cartons (please not plastic egg cartons or 6-count ones). These items will be donated to our mission partners at Ashure Ministry and the Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry.
Test Proctors Needed
Through our partnership with local schools, we are coordinating test proctors for upcoming End of Grade testing. Volunteers are needed on test dates of May 11-22 at several different schools. If you are able to give your time for these hard-working kids and help out the teachers and administrators, please contact Pastor Aryn. aryn@slumc.org
