Advent & Christmas 2025

It’s not within our own power to make a fresh start. If we’re to have a future different from the past, it must come as a gift, something not of our devising. What we need is a God who refuses to be trapped in eternity, a God who not only cares about us but is willing to show up among us and do something with us, here and now. In Advent, we celebrate and anticipate the earth-shaking, life-transforming good news that God is coming to us. Watch out. Get ready. God is on the way.

I believe even when...

This advent we are looking to hear words of comfort, challenge, and good news. The prophet Isaiah and the four Gospel authors were writing in a time when people needed desperately to hear all of these as well. Each week we will explore the perennial need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ as we seek to find Hope in tomorrow, Love in right relationship, Joy of God and the illuminating light of Peace.

Led by Pastor Aryn Williams-Ruebel, this class will meet in the Youth Building at 4PM on Sundays November 30 - Dec 21.

The Travelers children's play

The Christmas story is always unique through children's eyes. Bring your friends and family to hear the good news of the birth of our Savior as told by donkeys, shepherds, angels, and yes... even tigers!

Join us Saturday, December 6 at 6PM in the FLC for "The Travelers"!

outdoor decorating

Come enjoy the fun and excitement of Christmas by helping to decorate the outside areas of our church. Gather from 2-4 PM on Sunday, December 7th.

Christmas CantataS

Our Modern Worship Team will present "Glory to Emmanuel", Modern Advent Cantata, on Sunday, December 14th in our Fellowship Hall at 10:00 AM.

Our Chancel Choir and Guest Orchestra will present "Winter's Grace" by Joseph Martin on Sunday, December 21st in the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM.

We will present only one combined worship service on each of these dates.

Las Posadas

A traditional Latin-American celebration of the Holy Family's search for shelter, Las Posadas will be celebrated bilingually on Sunday, December 21st in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00 PM. This is an amazing event for all ages. This is our December offering of our Messy Church/Una Familia Together ministry.

Blue Christmas Service -- "star"

Join us for a meaningful worship service acknowledging the sorrows of the season on the longest night and providing space to grieve, pray, and heal. This service will take place on Thursday, December 18th at 7 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Christmas Brunch

We will host our annual Christmas Brunch on Sunday, December 21 at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a dish to share and enjoy fellowship and food with the St. Luke's family.

Christmas Eve Service with Candlelight & Communion (Bilingual)

Our Christmas Eve Service with Candlelight and Communion is a hallowed tradition at St. Luke's. This bilingual service features beautiful music, a stirring message, and a deep reminder of the reason for the season. The service will take place at 5:00 PM in the Sanctuary.

Christmas unplugged

A new St. Luke's tradition, Christmas Unplugged invites congregational participation as we sing favorite Chrismas Carols together and are led "in the round" by one guitar and one voice. Enjoy a simple, relaxed worship gathering to honor the Christ Child and close the season.

We will present this one combined worship service at 10AM on Sunday, December 28 in the FLC.
