There are too many people who are alienated from God’s love due to hurtful, unaccepting, unaffirming experiences in church and society. We are a safe space for LGBTQIA+ persons and their allies.
Meets 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. Address: 136 13th Ave NW Hickory. Dates sometimes vary. Call to confirm: 828-291-2822.
Beginning Tuesday, February 4, we will begin discussion of Bishop Marianne Budde's book How We Learn To Be Brave. You may purchase the book HERE.

Our class was established in the 1970’s and has been very active in a variety of church organizations and committees, especially the traditional church choir. vineyard class
Meets in the Youth building 11:00 am. Our class is a group of 4-8 adults, ranging in age from 20's to 50's. We meet in a casual and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing and discussing. Our primary focus is on studying the teachings of Jesus and exploring how they apply to our lives today. Each session is filled with meaningful conversations, personal reflections, and a sense of community that makes our time together truly special.
In 2025, our group decided to begin a bible study around the series "The Chosen". Please note this is still a TV show and you will see conflicts in biblical writings; they use scripture as the main driver for the plot, but incorporate sub-plots for a little more drama.

seekers fellowship
The Seekers Fellowship Class is a discussion based class which as our name implies diligently seeks to understand the scriptures so they may be applied to our lives of faith. We do this in a bond of fellowship where each is respected on their journey of discovery as fellow travelers toward stronger discipleship. Discussion is facilitated by Rev. Bill Garrard. We currently meet at 8:45 am in Room 108 in the Family Life Center or join us via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82765121058.

In the month of January 2025, the Seekers Fellowship Class will explore how we access God's wisdom as we look at the lives of the wise men who came to worship the Christ child, Joseph in Egypt, King Solomon, and the prophet Daniel as they were guided by God's wisdom. Student books are available in the classroom.
Our Lenten study will be Adam Hamilton's Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws begining March 9. Come and join our fellowship of seekers as we support each other in our journey of faith.
