A Walk to Bethlehem is a church and community wide program to increase the health of body, mind, and spirit held from
October 29, 2017 to January 6, 2018.
This is an imaginary Advent walk that encourages everyone to accumulate enough miles through varying activities and track them in order to get enough miles to walk from Hickory to Bethlehem. Anyone can participate regardless of your age or physical fitness level.
1. Track your daily activity, activity minutes, miles, or steps for the week using an app, electronic device or free pedometers provided. Report your numbers weekly to this link or by filling out a logging card provided in the church narthex, Family Life Center Lobby, or pew pads and putting them in the offering plate or baskets provided.
2. Gather on Sundays at 4:00 (Oct. 29th will be at 5:00pm) in the youth building for devotion followed by exercise, biking, chair exercises, or running.
The goal is to collectively walk 6221 miles to Bethlehem by January 6, 2018!!
