Welcome back to church!
As faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in the midst of our response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we remain committed to our Biblical mandate to “love our neighbors as ourselves” and our Wesleyan call to “Do no harm. Do all the good we can. Follow the ordinances (Stay in love) with God.” In doing so, we seek ways to engage faithfully in worship, study, and ministry while ensuring the health and safety of our members and communities. (WNCCUMC COVID-19 Response Guiding Principles, September 2020)
St. Luke’s is committed to safely offering worship in two ways: online/virtual worship and indoor worship. Online/virtual worship is available on the church website www.slumc.org, YouTube, and Facebook. Anyone with internet access can participate in our online worship services.
Congregants who meet the following criteria are invited to attend indoor worship if they so desire:
People who are well (no recent contact with infected persons, not exhibiting flu-like symptoms)
Clergy, worship team (technical and performing), ushers/lay leaders
People who are willing to wear a mask that covers mouth and nose
People who feel it is the right time for their family
