Serve  in  Our  Congregation

Everyone at St. Luke's is encouraged to find a place to serve. We are inspired by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assertion that "life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'"

Whether you prefer to serve behind-the-scenes or lead music from the front, you are welcome to participate! If you're interested in playing in our worship band, or if you would like to offer your technical skills by running screens, sound, or lights contact JessicaPastor Monica can assist with those who would like to read scripture, greet, and usher. Marie loves working with musicians and singers, with opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels. Our orchestra and choirs are open to everyone.

Do you love working with children? We are always looking for wonderful volunteers within our children's ministry program. We have nursery, childcare, Sunday School, Children's Church, Children's Choirs, and many Seasonal Opportunities, such as Vacation Bible School. Contact Pat McKim for opportunities to serve in children's ministry.

We have some amazing students at St. Luke's and need kind, compassionate adults to walk with them and guide them as they navigate themselves toward adulthood. They meet in small groups during the week, and in Sunday School and Sunday night programs. They also come on Tuesdays for Crossflame Youth Choir and Orchestra. If you would like to assist with youth ministry, contact Charlie Brown. If you would like to help with Crossflame, contact Marie Denig.

During the winter, when temperatures reach 30 degrees or colder, we open our family life center to our neighbors dealing with homelessness. For the afternoon and evening, warm food and conversation is shared with our community's most vulnerable. Vince and Salema Mells coordinate St. Luke's warming station. Email them if you would like to participate.
