Young  Adults

Through intentional relationship building, our young adult ministry has grown to include dozens of young adults in their twenties and thirties. Our staff and the young adult council work together to engage Hickory's young people in authentic community that includes service, fellowship, and spiritual formation.

Stay current with young adult news via our Facebook page and our monthly newsletter.

The young adult ministry of St. Luke's exists to foster deeper relationships between young adults, the world, and God through authentic community, meaningful spiritual growth, and service.

Life  Together

Abigail Taylor, one of our own talented young adults, works as a filmmaker. Take a look at her video testimony she made for St. Luke's in 2014.

Older  Adults

Joyce Kerley-Edwards leads our Saints Alive older adult ministry. Partnering with First UMC's Mature Methodists, our older adults gather for lunches and outings. Anyone 55 or older is invited to join the fun!

Single  Adults

Nancy Griswold, one of our deacons, leads our energetic singles group. Whether you've never married or are divorced or widowed, you've got a place at St. Luke's. Going to dinner, catching a movie or ballgame, or enjoying pool parties are just a few ways our singles have fun.

Our Family Life Council believes that everyone is part of the church family. Whether you're single or have a significant other, whether or not you have children, no matter your age - you are welcome in Christ's family and at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
