Serve  in  our  congregation.

Everyone at St. Luke's is encouraged to find a place to serve. We are inspired by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assertion that "life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'"

  • WORSHIP

Whether you prefer to serve behind-the-scenes or lead music from the front, you are welcome to participate! If you're interested in playing in our worship band, or if you would like to offer your technical skills by running screens, sound, or lights contact JessicaPastor Monica can assist with those who would like to read scripture, greet, and usher. Ron loves working with musicians and singers, with opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels. Our orchestra and choirs are open to everyone.

  • CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

Do you love working with children? We are always looking for wonderful volunteers within our children's ministry program. We have nursery, childcare, Sunday School, Children's Church, Children's Choirs, and many Seasonal Opportunities, such as Vacation Bible School. Contact Pat McKim for opportunities to serve in children's ministry.

  • YOUTH PROGRAMMING

We have some amazing students at St. Luke's and need kind, compassionate adults to walk with them and guide them as they navigate themselves toward adulthood. They meet in small groups during the week, and in Sunday School and Sunday night programs. They also come on Mondays for Crossflame Youth Choir and Orchestra. If you would like to assist with youth ministry, contact Andrew Woods. If you would like to help with Crossflame, contact Ron Sinclair.

  • COFFEE CREW

Everyone knows that Methodists love their coffee. We have a small, dedicated crew of early risers who brew coffee for us in the Family Life Center. Contact Pastor Monica if you'd like to be part of our team.

  • F.E.A.S.T. (Fellowship, Eat, And Study Together)

Every Wednesday evening during the school year, St. Luke's provides a hot meal with a suggested donation of $5. People give what they can, and some can't give anything, but everyone is served and welcomed. Dinner is served between 5:00 and 6:00. Activities sometimes follow the meal. We're always in need of volunteers to help greet, serve, clean, and lead activities. Contact Lisa Lail to help with the food or Pastor Monica to learn how you can get plugged in to this dynamic ministry.

  • WARMING STATION

During the winter, when temperatures reach 30 degrees or colder, we open our family life center to our neighbors dealing with homelessness. For the afternoon and evening, warm food and conversation is shared with our community's most vulnerable. Vince and Salema Mells coordinate St. Luke's warming station. Email them if you would like to participate.

  • WESTVIEW OUTREACH

Pastor Raymundo and Pastor Monica coordinate a team that leads community nights at Westview UMC's fellowship hall every Tuesday evening. A free meal is coordinated by Salema Mells. Different Sunday school classes, church groups, and individuals volunteer to make dinner, serve, clean, and lead in table discussions. Everyone is welcome to participate!  Contact any of the wonderful people mentioned above for more information.
